I know... I'm a Slacker...

I haven't updated in almost a month. And, seeing as how we are almost at the 6-month mark for my little man, maybe I should make a new post. Landon is so big, it amazes me every day. He is working on sitting up, and getting quite good at balancing once we get him sitting. He has also mastered rolling from his back to his stomach. He doesn't quite get the stomach to back part yet, I think its mostly because he is lazy. But so cute! While on his stomach, he has started to curl his legs up under himself and get his butt up in the air, but his head is on the ground and he plows around. Unfortunately for me, this means crawling can't be far away. Oh how I will miss my freedom! Since it is summer, we have grown accustomed to spending our Saturday or Sunday outside at car shows with Nate. I actually rather enjoy these days, being outside on a beautiful day with my little family. And I'm starting to recognize the special things about some of Nate's favorite classic cars. Landon loves being outside too, and Nate loves to show him the cars and take pictures of them together. I can already see, this is going to be a tradition for years to come. Landon even enjoys the rumble of the engines, much to his father's delight! This last weekend, I have had a rather cranky baby on my hands, and I'm starting to believe that I can attribute that to a tooth coming in. Poor baby, he drools a TON and all the time. He has also had an upset stomach, runny nose, and chews on whatever he can get his hands and mouth on. Hopefully it is a tooth, and it shows up soon, because I certainly can't stand to watch him like this! But, in happier news, Landon has definately found his laugh, and it is so freaking cute! He loves to laugh at any puppies, or at funny noises, or pretty much at anything! It melts my heart every time! I am so blessed to have such a happy baby all the time. Ok, maybe not all the time, but you know what I mean. Our first Father's Day was a success. I asked Nate for weeks what he wanted to do for Father's Day, and all he ever told me was "nothing." So, that is exactly what we did. I got up and took care of Landon, and then made eggs, bacon, and pancakes for Nate and my Dad, and everyone else too. Breakfast is Nate's favorite meal, and I very rarely make it for him, so he really enjoyed this. Then my family left to go ride quads with some family friends, and Nate, Landon, and I layed around the house and napped and did nothing all day. It was just perfect to get to spend that family time together and really enjoy each other, because we don't get to do it all that often. I'm so happy that he had a good day and he got to relax and not worry about anything for a whole day. He definitely deserved it!

And now... We have pictures. A whole mish-mash of picture from the month. :)

Pool with Daddy

Aunt Jenn drug us to the mall for the opening of the Microsoft store, and to meet her favorite celeb, Rob Dyrdek. Landon's first celebrity meeting. He even signed Landon's pukey bib!

Twix Ice Cream Bar. Good for the gums.

I laid him in bed, undressed him, and went to run his bath. And he was crying and throwing a fit because he was very tired. So I come back from the bathroom, and this is what I find! :)

5-Months-Old!

Today marks 5-months-old for  my sweet boy. I can't believe we are already here! It seems like its gone by so fast, and he just gets bigger and smarter every day! Lately, he's been working on sitting up, which is just such a blast! He tries so hard, and just ends up falling over. Poor little guy! He is still eating 3 meals a day, and trying to eat more and more every time. With every bite he takes, he makes sure to let us know how much he likes it by giving us a nice "mmmmm" while he eats. We have yet to find a food he doesn't like. I'm so happy about that too, I was so nervous he would be picky like me and his dad! We also took him to the pool for the first time this week, and boy did he love it! He just kick, kick, kicked the whole time in his little float, and then swam around with me holding him and enjoyed the water. I had such a blast! My parents got him a swing to hang outside, so he can hang out with us and enjoy the sunshine. He has so much fun in his little swing, and loves to watch the dogs play and the wind blow in the trees. It is so much fun to watch him just absorb everything and figure things out. He has just found his tounge, and loves blowing bubbles with his spit and sticking his tounge out to make noises. It might be the cutest thing ever! We can stick out tounges out and make spit noises at him and he is figuring out how to do it back. Tonight, he is having his first sleepover away from home, and his first entire night away from mommy and daddy. He's staying with Nate's parents tonight, and I know he is super excited to get away from us! As for Nate and I, we are going camping with all of our great friends for the first time this year, and I can't wait to get away for a night and see everyone again!

Laying Down to Sleep is for Losers

As of lately, Landon has been a terrible napper. He fights his nap sooo hard, no matter how tired he is. I guess he's just a nosy little boy and doesn't want to miss a thing. So, after trying to rock him, giving him a bottle, trying the swing, and letting him fuss for a little while in bed, I finally give in and bring him back downstairs, where he smiles and laughs as if to say "haha Mom, I win!" That little stinker. Once we are downstairs, I put him in his jumperoo to watch an Einstein's DVD, and without fail, he always passes out in his jumper. So I take cute little pictures because it just cracks me up! And of course, once he's good and asleep, I take him out and lay him on the couch to finish his nap. We don't want a sore neck to ruin the rest of the day now, do we?

First Time...

Second Time...

 Third Time...

Fourth Time...
at least with his blankey this time.

And most recent.

I'm not really sure how this can be comfortable at all, but hey, it works for me. As long as he's sleeping. :)

Summer has started

Its been a long, cold winter and spring in Colorado, and finally its starting to feel like summer. And I can't tell you how excited we are to have warm sunny weather finally. We've been enjoying our sunny days outside with our little boy, and he loves to look at the trees and the flowers and check everything out. It's tons of fun! He has also been eating a TON lately, and I'm so suprised he isn't way fatter than he already is! His eating schedule is 4oz bottle in the morning, then 2 tablespoons of cereal mixed with about 4 teaspoons of baby food, then another two 4oz bottles in before lunch time, where he eats 2 tablespoons of babyfood. then a bottle for nap time. a bottle for snack. cereal and baby food for dinner, then a bottle for bed. What a Chunk! But he really isn't all that fat. He's just a solid tall boy. I bought him a swimsuit and a pair of sunglasses and I just can't wait to take him to the pool! We spent last saturday at a car show with Nate. He had to show off his Nova since he finally got it running. It was a lot of fun, and Landon loved to be outside with all the cars. I got some great pictures of Nate and Landon in Nate's car, which I'm sure will be a tradition now. This week all of our friends are officially home from college for the summer, so its been really great to see everyone and get ready to start hanging out with everyone! And now, onto my pictures.

Check Me Out!

First thing in the morning, after waking up and eating, our Little Man loves to sit in his jumperoo and watch some Baby Einsteins. And he has just really started to get the hang of the jumping thing. He either jumps with just one foot, or goes back and forth from foot to foot. He is just so cute! Its my favorite time of day, even if I am half awake. I just love watching him learn and play. He has gotten so into his Einsteins, he watches them so intently and seems to really study whats going on. Hey, maybe he'll be a genius! :)

End of April Updates

The end of the month was quite uneventful. But here are some pictures for your entertainment!

Love my monkey!

Just gotta take a break and eat my hand. No Big Deal.

April Snow!

Good thing we got to wear this! I bought it in the wrong size, not really thinking. So if it werent for that darn spring snow, we never would have gotten to wear it! And it just so darn cute!

Four Months Old!

We hit the 4-month mark this week. Its going by so darn fast! Last week, we took Landon to the doctor because he had a terrible cough and was wheezing a lot, and it turns out he has an upper respiritory infection. Poor guy has to use a nebulizer now, but only as needed. Sometimes he hates the thing, and sometimes he takes it like a champ! I am so proud of him for being so good with it. We learned that he weighs 15lbs 13oz. and is 25in! He is in the 75th percentile! My Big Boy! I just can't believe how big he is. We bought him a Jumperoo, and let me tell you, what a great investment! He loves to stand in it first thing in the morning and watch his Baby Einsteins DVDs, which is such a lifesaver for me on those early mornings so I have a little more time to wake up. The little stinker loves to stand up so much, he never ever wants to just sit in my lap. Once he starts crawling, I am going to be in trouble! He has started using his hands soooo much lately too. He grabs anyones hair when they are holding him, and he has quite the grip! He grabs anything he can, and most of it goes straight to his mouth. He is starting to show interest in holding his bottle, and is super strong and can do it himself... until he pulls it away and wonders where it went! He recognizes his bottle now, and as soon as he sees it, opens his mouth and throws himself back to lay down and be ready to eat. Its so freaking cute! And our latest development, as of today, we had our first meal of cereal! And, although it was messy and not everything went down, he enjoyed it and we were successful! So just some more practice, and soon he will be a pro!
