3-Month Pictures!

We finally got them done! I had to scan them onto the computer, so they may not be the best quality. But I had to share so I could brag just a little! :)

Big Boy!

Things have been kind of quiet around here. My parents and brother went to Louisiana for my cousin's wedding a few weeks ago, so we were on our own taking care of the baby for the weekend! It was our first time doing it completely alone, we did have my sister here to help though. And she loves to help! Nate's parents happened to be gone that weekend too, so we really were on our own! It was fun, we had no major issues, and everyone survived! So I'd say it was a success. Jennifer brought a little cold home from school, which I promptly contracted. And shortly after, my poor baby got it too. He's been super stuffy and fussy, but is finally starting to get better! Yesterday, we finally went to get his 3-month pictures taken. We went to The Picture People in the mall, and they did a suprisingly awesome job! We love them! I'll post them on here as soon as I can, I have to scan the ones we got prints of so I can put them on here. They came out so great though. And, to make it even better, our little man decided that it was time for him to roll over in the middle of his pictures! He was laying on his tummy taking pictures, and next thing you know, he rolls over and just looks at us. So we celebrated, and flipped him back over to take some more, and as hes looking at us with a very proud look on his face, he does it again! I am so very proud of him! He has been working so hard to try and roll over the last 2 weeks, and he finally did it! I can't believe how big hes getting! Time sure does fly! Here's a few pictures from this month so far, and I'll get his 3-month ones up here as soon as I can! :)

Our first time in our car walker! He just loves standing up so much, so he definately loved this thing!

Our First Easter!

We celebrated Landon's first Easter yesterday, and our first as a family. We spent the morning at home with my family, then went to have breakfast and spend the day with Nate's family, then back home for dinner with my family. It was such a relaxing day, and even though Landon wasn't really sure what was going on, he still seemed to enjoy himself! He got to play with his cousin Lola, who is 10 months old, and barely bigger than him! It was so funny to see them next to each other! Landon got some great gifts from everyone, and we got some delicious candy! Nate is a sugar fiend, so he was all too excited about the candy! He tried to give Landon a bite of his airhead at one point. He tries to give that baby sugar all the time! Here's some pictures of our exciting day!

Landon's Easter Basket!
He got a whole bunch of clothes (some from "the easter bunny" and some from his aunty), some new binkys, a hot wheels car from aunty, and Dr. Seuss's "The Lorax" with a stuffed Lorax!

Lazy, Lazy Day

The week has drug on quite a bit, and its definately had its ups and downs. But now I have a moment to breathe today, so here I am. Time for an update.

It  has been an eventful week in the life of my little Landon. We discovered on Sunday that he seems to be cutting his first tooth. Already! He's only 11 weeks old! Poor guy, it just bugs the crap out of him. So he hasn't been all that happy this week. But still, he manages to get out a few smiles for me throughout the day. Being the little chunk that he is, its been increasingly hard for me to keep up with nursing him. So, as of Monday, he has been successfully switched from only breastmilk to half breastmilk, half formula. I wasn't planning on having to put him on formula so soon, but it makes life that much easier and more manageable. Now, I can pump and have plenty of bottles ready for him for the day, and it's such a relief for me. Maybe a little selfish, but he's such a chunk! He's eating anywhere from 6oz. to 7.5oz at any given time!

Also, as of last night, Landon is officially sleeping in his own room! He's been in the pack-and-play next to my bed since he came home. He's been such a good sleeper the entire time, so I guess its been more me keeping him there than anything. The last few weeks hes been only waking up between 5am and 6am to eat, then again between 8 and 9, and hes up for the day. Which works out wonderfully for me! So last night, I decided it was time for his own bed. It took a little longer than normal to put him down, but I don't think he was feeling well. Anyways, he was asleep by 11ish, with his monitor on and everything. And slept great all night! Me, on the other hand, I slept quite lightly. Nate had to laugh at me when we were falling asleep. I told him I missed my baby and wanted him next to me again. But I know, its about time he gets to sleep in his own bed. When he finally woke up this morning, at about 8:15, I heard him on the monitor just laying in his bed, laughing and talking to himself and his toys. I just layed in bed listening to him for a good half hour before I just had to get up and play with him! He's such a good boy, I'm so proud of him!

He's napping now, but I suppose I should go do something with myself today. We get to go out with some good friends tonight. I am so excited to finally see everyone again. I feel like I've barely seen anyone in many many months. So its about time! And, of course, its so great to introduce everyone to my baby boy!

Lets give this a try...

So I've never done this before. But I feel like i need something new to fill my days. So why not blog, right? It can't be that hard... I hope.

A little about me, shall we?
I'm 20 years old, and engaged to a wonderful man, Nathan, or Nate. We have a son who is almost 3 months old, named Landon James. He is the best thing to ever happen to us. We're still living at home, with my family. Time to save up some money and get some school out of the way before we take the next step. And even though its difficult sometimes, we make the best of it. I have wonderful parents who are super supportive of us. My brother, Ryan, is 25, and my sister, Jennifer, is 16. They're both very interesting people, thats for sure. We've gotten so much closer in the last few years though, which is so great. Nate's got a bigger family than me, and they're such great people and have really welcomed me into their family. He's got three older sisters, Breecia, Sydney, and Paige, and a younger brother, Taylor. They're all tons of fun to be around, and super sweet.

And thats about it, as far as I can think right now. So, a pretty boring first post, hopefully we will get more interesting as I try to find my little niche to continue to write about. I have a feeling it will be more about my son, and documenting his growth. Its so exciting to watch him grow. Even at only 11 weeks old, hes so wide awake and alert all the time, hes GREAT at holding his head up and watching things, he loves to watch everyone move around the room. We got him a little iPod with music on it for him (a gift from my mom) and its set up on speakers in his room. Boy, does he love that thing! His music comes on and his face lights up and he relaxes. Its so adorable! He's been extra drooly lately, and has started chewing on his hand all the time, and today he was very fussy. So I took a look in his mouth, and I'm pretty sure I saw a small white tooth underneath his little gums on the bottom! Already! Ohhh Boy, this will be an interesting ride...
