Well, well well... Look who sucks at this blogging thing...

Terrible. I am absolutely terrible. But, it is summer again, and I am going to try my absolute best to get this going again. So, here's the start.

Since Landon's birthday, I have been working mostly full time and loving it. Although it is a little bit of a drive for me to get to work every day, it is totally worth it and I really enjoy my job. Nate is finished with school for the semester and working a bunch. He has also been very busy trying to get the Nova in shape for summer, because of all of the car shows we have to attend. We have moved into our own place, about 10 minutes from my parents. It's a small condo, but its our own and we love it. Landon has a blast destroying his room with toys every day. The playground and the pool are literally steps from our front door, so that is very nice in the warm weather we have been having. Nate is going to be transfering stores soon so that he can be closer to our new home. The store will be literally 2 minutes from our place, so even on the nights he closes, he can still come home for dinner on his break! I've really enjoyed making our little place all ours, with pictures and such all over. It is so nice to have a space to ourselves, although it is slightly more boring not having everyone else around all the time!

My brother, Ryan, left June 2 for Officer Candidate School for the United States Marines. I am so proud of him and I know he will do great things. If anyone I've ever met has what it takes, it is him. Poor Landon, though. He misses his "untle" a whole lot and looks for him every time we go to my parent's house. We are hoping to be able to go out to Virginia to see him graduate in August. And thinking of teaching Landon to say "Sir Yes Sir" in the meantime for when they see each other again.

Landon has been a fish in the pool this year. But, I didn't expect any less of him. He will jump off of the steps whether you are ready to catch him or not. And he just giggles the whole time. He is such a daredevil. Sam is his best friend these days. That's my parent's dog, by the way. He follows Sam all over the yard, and Sam follows him as well. They steal each others toys and chase each other around to get the back. Landon just laughs at Sam while he runs away. It's amazing how well they get along. If it weren't for that, I'm just not sure how I would feel about Sam some days.

And, not to brag or anything, BUT...
I think my son is a genius. Haha but seriously, he is such an intelligent little boy it is crazy! I took him in for his 15-month check up (a little late) and the doctor was very impressed at all of his skills. He is walking/running like a champ, climbing and jumping, dancing, and talking your ear off! The doctor said that for her to be able to say that he is "on-track" developmentally for his age, he had to have 4 words. Well, I think I could write a novel with the words this kid has! He will try to say everything that you say, and almost always it comes out clearly. Just to list a few: Juice, Cheese, Milk, applesauce, snack, flower, pool, water, cheerio, car, jeep, truck, Sam, Jessie, Sunnie, rock, TV, Shoes, Socks, Toes, teeth, nose, eyes, hair, Lola, clothes, jacket, toys, stop. And that is just a few. He knows how to tell you what he wants for dinner, when he wants to go out and play. And he connects the words with the objects or actions. He can make the car sound when he pretends to drive his Hot Wheels. And he knows what sounds some animals make. He says Moo for the Cow, Rawr for the Lion, Meow for the Cat, and he pants for the Dogs! Such a little cutie, sometimes I think he is too smart for his own good!

But, that is enough of my proud mommy bragging business. This is my first attempt to get back on this thing and Blog again! Hope you enjoyed it, and (hopefully) I'll be back soon! :)
